The Committee meets 5 times a year at the MCofS Office in Perth. Many of the events the MCofS runs are almost entirely dependent on the goodwill of volunteers, although the administration and organisational work is undertaken by the National Officer and the office staff. All the activities are detailed on this site.

It also comprises two Working Committees:

• Expedition Screening Committee
  • Screens yearly applications for expeditions
  • Meets once yearly in March / April
• Competitions & Grants Nationality Screening Committee
  • Screening eligibility for nationality
  • Screening applications for lottery support for Talented Athlete.
  • Screening and assessing support to athletes from other grant giving bodies
