This new event was held for the first time at Extreme Dream Climbing Wall in Aviemore in June. It brought together the top 5 young climbers in each category of the MCofS Youth Climbing Series (BRYCS), for both north and south Scotland to find the Scottish Champions. It would also be a good ‘warm-up’ for the BRYCS final at Ratho later in the month.

It was a fun-packed day with over 40 children competing on a series of problems quite different to the usual BRYCS arrangements. Nicky Addison took the 7-9 girls title whilst Ruairidh MacAskill the 7-9 boys; Dylan Mackenzie the 10-12 boys and Jamie Davidson the girls title; whilst Ellen MacAskill won the 13-15 girls and Ross Kirkland took the boys title.
