Fun Climbing Competitions for Beginners to Experts

BRYCS is a series of friendly, inexpensive competitions for young climbers at local climbing walls across Scotland. Competitions feature boulder problems and top-roping routes (ages 7-9 & 10-12) or leading routes (ages 13-15) with standards/grades to suite everyone from beginners to experts.

There are two ‘Regions’ – North Scotland & South Scotland – with three rounds in each region. The top three climbers in each category will make up a Team for each Scottish region and will be able to compete against nearly 10 other teams from England and Wales for the national crown at a grand final.

A few changes have been made this year: Each competition comprises 3 routes & 3 Boulder problems; climbers must compete at 2 rounds in their region to be eligible for the team and the final.
