BMC Leading Ladder

The BMC have set up a series of fun leading competitions that started in October and run at a number of selected walls for two weeks in rotation throughout the winter leading to a grand final. The BMC 'Leading Ladder' relies on the honesty of those taking part and those belaying to ensure fair play, but obviously cheaters would soon be found wanting at the final!

Six routes are set at each venue: F6b, F6c, F7a, F7b, F7c and F8a. There are four age categories: 12 – 15, 16 – 18, 19 – 45, and 46+, with separate male and female categories.

Competition routes are clearly marked up and anyone using the wall may climb them. But if you want to take part in the Leading Ladder competition, and have your score recorded then buy a scorecard for £1 from the host venue.

The MCofS are not operating a similar competition in Scotland this year, but you can take part by visiting the walls in England.
