The Mountaineering Council of Scotland

The Noticeboard

The noticeboard is here for your use to make contact with other users of this website.

You can

  • make or reply to a comment on any relevent topic of the day
  • ask or answer questions on Scottish mountains or mountaineering
  • offer or ask for shared lifts or accommodation for mountaineering trips
  • place small ads or wants for gear, books or anything else relevant

What do you think of the MCofS stance on windfarms, and where can you buy matress covers?

For more in-depth discussion of issues there is also our Pitch-in section.

conditions:
* Small ads are accepted for articles of mountaineering gear, books, etc. on the same basis as a card in a shop window.
* Any sale is entirely between buyer and seller and nothing to do with the MCofS.
* Initial responses will normally be by e-mail. It is up to you if you want to post a phone number in your advert.
* Small ads/wants will be kept on the page for one month. Please let me know if the item is sold so I can delete the ad.
* No commercial advertising allowed. If you're interested in advertising on the site please contact us.
* Long lists of items for sale are not allowed. If you want to sell more than 3 items, then you should offer to e-mail interested parties with a list, or quote a web page address where the list can be read.
* No abusive or otherwise unsavoury messages please. (I've just had to delete the first one)
* We will continue to make up the rules as we go along.

Sorry for the pop-up adverts which sometimes appear with the Noticeboard page, but we have to suffer them to continue with this free service.
