The Mountaineering Council of Scotland

MCofS Office Location

In September 2000 we moved from the pokey little office in St. Catherines Rd to our current home, in the ground floor of a fine old granary building. It was previously the National Trust for Scotland's Perth Office and we were indebted to the NTS for all their help in making the move possible. The address for all correspondence is:

The Old Granary, West Mill Street, Perth PH1 5QP

This much larger office has a dedicated meeting room, which is available (at the cost of insurance) to local voluntary organisations and free to MCofS members and groups. The larger Office space will allow us to also have a small reference library, where members and the public can access information from books, magazines, consultations, Government reports, thesis and expedition reports, as well as gain information about other outdoor and conservation organisations. The MCofS responds to up to 30 consultations a year from various bodies and Government and these too are available. This is all part of the MCofS 'Information Service'.

Please feel free to make use of the office, even if it is to call on us for a coffee and a chat (a little distraction is always welcomed). You'll find the office on the ground floor, through the double red doors, facing the main entrance of the Jarvis Hotel.

The meeting room can also be accessed by going throough the archway near our front door, turning right and entering via double doors.
