The date for the start of the Public Inquiry into the above application has been confirmed as 6th February 2007. The MCofS objected to the proposed transmission lines at both stages of the planning consultation process. More details of the application and the MCofS objections can be read here. The MCofS will participate in the Public Inquiry and we are working with selected partners in the LINK Network to develop a joint approach. which is being presented under the name Beauly-Denny Landscape Group. We believe that a concerted approach with our partners will have more impact than working in isolation. The organisations concerned are the John Muir Trust, Ramblers Association Scotland, National Trust for Scotland, Association for the Protection of Rural Scotland and the Scottish Wild Land Group. Details of the submissions we are making to the Inquiry, our Statement of Case, are detailed here. Further information concerning the Inquiry will appear on this website, so please check 'Recent Updates' for more information. An Inquiry Update section is also available.
