Final Submissions at
Beauly-Denny Public Enquiry

In May, the final submissions, by those objecting, were presented to the Beauly-Denny Powerline Public Inquiry.

Walter Semple is the legal representative of the Beauly-Denny Landscape Group. Sir Donald Miller was formerly the chairman of South of Scotland Electricity Board and Scottish Power.

Various MSPs have been emailed with Walter Semple's Final Submission. We would encourage you to do the same with your MSP to show the strength of feeling on this subject of 600 pylons about the height of the Scott Monument running through the centre of Scotland.

The inquiry is due to run until December 2007. Further articles from BDLG reporting the progress of the enquiry can be read here.

More documentation and submissions to the inquiry can be viewed on the
Official Inquiry Website

The MCofS is appealing to it's membership to contribute towards the legal costs.
